2. Sylius: For a young and relatively new platform, Sylius has got some big names under its belt. With a tech-focused approach, this platform is better known as an ecommerce framework and not a typical ecommerce platform. It is an open-source ecommerce solution and it is free to download and use. It has a very lean application. It is fast with a focused and clean layout in backend and frontend. It is not positioned as an end-to-end ecommerce solution which means a lot of extra development and customization are required. This is one of its biggest downsides.
3. WorkArea Commerce: The platform’s core offering is mainly about the content. They have some excellent examples of implementations. The platform is built using Ruby and is presented as a Software-as-a-Service platform. The main thing that caught our attention is the integration partners. BVAccel and Demac are both being well respected in other industries. It comes with great content management, B2B features, reporting, and search and merchandising features. The downside – lack of native integrations.
